Pihak Desa Adat Kuta selama ini dengan mudah memberi izin pembuatan film yang mengambil lokasi di Pantai Kuta.

"Kami tidak boleh berlaku tidak adil. Jika mohon rekomendasi, saya kasih," ujar Bendesa Adat atau Kepala Desa Adat Kuta, Gusti Ketut Sudira, saat memberi keterangan kepada wartawan di kantor Satgas Pantai Kuta. "Saya lupa apakah Amit Virmani (sutradara Cowboys in Paradise) pernah minta izin ke desa karena banyak sekali yang meminta izin buat film di sini," tambah Ketut Sudira.

"Dengan adanya kasus ini, kami akan lebih teliti lagi sebelum memberi izin. Kami akan minta detail film tersebut," kata Sudira. Namun, Sudira mengaku kesulitan jika memang film tersebut dibuat secara candid dan para pemeran atau narasumber di dalamnya tidak tahu isi film tersebut.

Untuk mengantisipasi kejadian ini terulang kembali, pihak Desa Adat Kuta akan memberi pengarahan kepada semua pedagang dan warga yang sehari-harinya berada di Kuta untuk lebih berhati-hati jika ada orang yang mengaku-aku membuat film dan ingin mengambil gambar mereka.

Nokia Handphone

Spartacus Season 3 - 3 and T-Mobile have signed a deal with manufacturer Nokia Siemens Networks to help improve the reach of 3G mobile broadband services. Through their Mobile-Broadband-Network (MBNL) joint venture, the two broadband providers remain on course to complete network upgrade work by the end of 2010.

The £400 million deal with Nokia will now cater for the provision of 3G radio network infrastructure, mobile network planning, implementation, optimisation and maintenance.

Graham Baxter, Chief Technology Officer at 3, said partnering with Nokia would help MBNL deliver on its objective of "creating Europe's largest HSDPA network in record timescales, to quickly enable the best customer experience".

Emin Gurdenli, Technical Director at T-Mobile, commented: "As high-speed mobile broadband becomes increasingly adopted for fast, simple internet access wherever you are, network performance becomes an increasingly important competitive differentiator."

Spartacus Season 3 - In a late filing of its 2009 annual report, troubled Tamalpais Bancorp, the parent company of San Rafael-based Tamalpais Bank, reported this week that it has failed to meet deadlines to increase capital imposed by federal regulators and warned that a regulatory takeover of the bank is a possibility.

"There can be no assurance that we will be able to arrange for sufficient liquidity or to raise additional capital in time to satisfy regulatory requirements and meet our obligations as they come due," the annual report stated.

The report goes on to say that regulators may take further action "including assumption of control of Tamalpais Bank, to protect the interests of depositors insured by the FDIC."

The bank is under intense pressure from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to improve its capitalization. On Feb. 19, the FDIC told the bank to either improve its capitalization by issuing new stock or find an institution that will buy the bank. Under this "prompt corrective action directive," the bank had until March 21 to comply with the order.

A spokesman for the bank could not be reached for comment Friday.

The bank announced in February that it lost $37.6 million, or $9.83 per share, in fiscal 2009, compared with a profit of $4.8 million, or $1.26 per share, in 2008. But the bank told the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 1 that it had been unable to file its 2009 annual report due to "delays in resolving certain disclosures." The bank filed the annual.

report with the SEC on Thursday.

The annual report discloses that the bank's independent registered public accountants expressed substantial doubt about the bank's ability to continue as a going concern in its audit report for fiscal 2009.

"If we cannot continue as a going concern, our shareholders will lose some or all of their investment in the company," the report noted.

On March 12, the NASDAQ stock market notified the bank it faced the possible delisting of its stock because it had closed below $1 per share for 30 consecutive days. On Friday, the stock closed at 49 cents a share, down a cent. As of Dec. 31, Tamalpais Bank had 72 full-time employees.

The annual report disclosed that Tamalpais Bank has been in default on $5.7 million worth of loans to Pacific Coast Bankers Bank since Sept. 3. The report stated that the bank has the option to foreclose on the collateral securing the loans, which includes the bank's stock. The annual report also disclosed that the bank is in "technical default" to the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, to which it owes $119 million.

The annual report stated that the bank's nonperforming assets totaled $46.9 million at the end of 2009, up from $17.1 million at the end of 2008.

According to the annual report, "Small business owners and investors have seen reduced revenues due to declining economic activity, and rising unemployment has caused some borrowers to become delinquent on loan payments. Additionally, the value of land, construction and commercial real estate loans have been severely impacted by the decline in occupancy rates, rental lease rates and property values."

Susno Builds Mosque

Cuando Me Enamoro - Former National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji has built a mosque in his hometown in South Dempo district in Pagaralam regency, South Sumatra. The mosque is built on a 2,500-square-meter plot and sits about a kilometer from Susno's family home, Antara news agency reported.

The building's design, which resembles Jakarta's Istiqlal Mosque, is surrounded by fish ponds and paddies. It has five domes and is expected to accommodate hundreds of worshippers.

"He planned it a long time ago. The old mosque was too small and could not accommodate a bigger congregation," Maldi Duadji, Susno's brother, said Sunday.

He said the mosque would be open for public.

Zuma calls for calm

"We are calling on the supporters of the AWB to stay calm for the moment so that we can finalise the funeral," said AWB spokesman Andre Visagie, adding that next steps would await a party meeting in May.

"We will decide upon the action we are going to take to avenge Mr Terre’blanche’s death."

Concerns over increasing racial polarisation have been thrown into the open by a row over the singing of an apartheid-era song with the lyrics "Kill the Boer" by the youth leader of the ruling African National Congress.

The ANC has defended the song as no more than a way to remember a history of oppression, but it has worried minority groups and particularly white farmers, some 3,000 of whom have been killed since the end of apartheid.

Terre’blanche’s party did not hesitate to link the murder to the song.

He had always described himself as a Boer.

"That's what this is all about," Visagie said.

Zuma’s spokesman Vincent Magwenya said, however, there was no evidence at this stage linking the killing to the song sung by firebrand ANC youth wing leader Julius Malema.

Terre’blanche had lived in relative obscurity since his release from prison in 2004 after serving a sentence for beating a black man nearly to death.

The party — whose flag resembles a Nazi swastika — was revived two years ago and he had begun efforts to try to build a united front among white far-right parties to fight for a white homeland, but had gained little traction.

Terre’blanche was a powerful orator in his Afrikaans language and was a distinctive figure, heavily built, with a thick grey beard and dressed in khaki.

He often attended rallies on horseback during his fight to stop majority rule.

Police said the suspected killers were aged 16 and 21. Both had worked for Terre’blanche.

"They apparently attacked the leader because they were not paid for work," said spokesperson Adele Myburg, giving no details of how the killing was carried out. — Reuters.

When the fourth iteration of a German franchise you've never heard of lands on your desk unexpectedly, nine times out of five it's going to be rubbish. A cursory glance at the quite unbelievably bad cover, replete with a model-shot straight out of Playgirl, should've had this consigned straight to the grinty games' graveyard. Luckily, despite the fractured English on the back, the screenshots alone gave me pause. Lucky because this is actually a flawed gem of a game.

The premise lends itself perfectly to the real-time strategy game; you are the coordinator for all the emergency services in a particular section of the Western world. With a mix of police, ambulance and fire services, you can take the game anywhere and the twenty missions of the main campaign do just that.

Your stint in command will have you tackling incidents ranging from an accident at a monster truck jam, through terrorist attacks and drug raids to a final massive earthquake.

The game's hub though is your main city where you earn credits through taking care of the odd everyday incident. These can then be spent on new equipment, which in turn triggers one of the campaign missions. At first, these incidents are very minor, but as you progress require more and more complex mixes of emergency crew.

Basically, it's Tonka toy town mixed with Casualty and a bit of just about every disaster movie you can possibly think of. Playing through the campaign in the office I couldn't help the odd 'nee-naw' escaping my lips every time I sent my water bowser in to douse the flames. Even when things are going horribly wrong and a derailed train carriage is floating directly at the rescue boat trying to pull survivors out of the mess left behind by a broken dam, or a fire is raging out of control and blowing up parked cars and fire engines, there was always a grin on my face.

It's by no means perfect though; the game engine, while being sturdy and functional, rarely goes beyond that. The animation and pathfinding can be a bit ropey too, and I'm still trying to forget about the phoned-in, voice-acting with its constant repetition of a few stock phrases. But it's great fun, especially being above the law and engaging in a bit of offhand police brutality (sorely underutilized as a game mechanic since SWAT4) when you feel like a change of pace. I often decided to send along a couple of officers to accompany my ambulance or fire appliance simply to shoot/arrest anyone within ten feet of the incident. So there's an air of realism about it too.

As the drummer, your only one obligation is counting beat. The important focus of a beginner drum pupil is on how the beats should be counted and how the subdivisions connect to each other. For new students, they are commonly instructed how to count by beating on a single drum. Make certain to count loud while tapping as this is important in learning new beats and more complex subdivisions in the future. Use of metronome may to help while tapping.

Learning to play with a single beat may be tiresome and repetitive to some but mastery of these two skills is essential. As you progress, you can learn new beats, more compound hits and other drum techniques. Students see it dull and try to rush lessons. Hastening will only restrain your development and it would be better to master the fundamentals before venturing further. Of course, once you see that you are prepared for more, there are intermediate and advanced lessons for more expert drummers out there.

Wow! 250 MPH in a car

Is this crazy? Or does it make sense? Bugatti, a small car company bankrolled by Volkswagen (VW), has brought out the Veyron 16.4 with a top speed of 248 mph – and the car was tested at the speed on the fastest track Volkswagen could find in Europe!

Nowhere else would allow the car to get to that speed and be timed for long enough to say it actually could do this. The previous record for a production car was 242 mph round the Nardo track in Italy – and that required a great deal of skill by the driver to keep the car on the banked track!

This sort of speed – and the power to get there - are pretty much off the planet, but since then, other companies - with a fraction of the resources of Bugatti – have decided they should aim for 250 mph. ‘What for?’, you might ask. I guess it is a bit like saying the moon is there so let’s go there.

W-16, 1,001 bhp engine

The Bugatti Veyron is a very impressive car, powered by a W-16-cylinder 8.0 liter engine developing 1,001 bhp. The ‘4’ stands for the four turbochargers needed to boost the engine to that amount of power. The whole Bugatti project was the idea of Dr Ferdinand Piech, then chairman of the VW Group. He wanted VW to build a car to showcase technology and to move the goal posts so no one could get close. Evidently, during testing this engine was proved to be reliable when producing 1,200 bhp.

The car does showcase technology. The engine is similar to the W-12 installed in the Audi A8 and S8, and in turbocharged form in the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur.

The gearbox is also based on VW Group technology. It is a seven-speed sequential box with automatic or manual shifting. It has a dual clutch arrangement so that when you change gear the power continues to be transmitted all the time, one clutch disengaging exactly at the moment the other engages. Stunning technology that really delivers benefits.

The same concept is available in six-speed form in the VW Golf, Audi A3 and S3. It is called DSG. Of course, the Bugatti has a special version of this concept, made by Ricardo, a powertrain specialist in the UK.

The Bugatti has a carbon fiber structure, suspension like a racing car, and two large air intakes in the roof to keep that huge engine cool. Of course, the engine is mounted behind the driver and passenger but forward of the rear wheels.

Most exotic cars have rear-wheel drive, but the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has so much power that it has four-wheel drive. Actually, some Audis, including the 450 bhp RS4, and all Lamborghinis - also in the VW Group - now have four-wheel drive. Again, the Bugatti is showcasing group technology

If you are wondering why four-wheel drive is needed, just think about it. With two-wheel drive there would be 500 bhp going through each tire! Most makers of supercars and exotic cars think that 300 bhp per tire is plenty.

Ok, so the Bugatti was timed at 248 mph, and reaches 60 mph in less than 3 seconds. Did the other makers of exotic cars give up, and say: ‘Well, we can’t match that’?

No, Pagani, produced the 650 bhp Zonda F with an option of 700 bhp. Saleen upped the power output of its S7 to 750 bhp, while Ferrari produced a few FXXs with 850 bhp, and Maserati also has a version of the MC-12 developing 750 bhp or so.

On the other hand Koenigsegg decided not to pursue the power race for the time being at least. After all its CCR has a 806 bhp engine, and was timed at 242 mph. Instead, Koenigsegg has introduced the CCX which is designed to meet US regulations and is a more practical street machine.

Others have decided to go for maximum power including one of the tuners of Porsche 911s. Then, a small British company is introducing a car with a turbocharged 7.0 liter V-8 with a power output of 1,000 bhp. They say that the engine could be tuned to 1,200 bhp.

More will follow down this route to madness. Me? I’d go for the 500 -600 bhp myself in a car that really handles and is very, very responsive. Like a Pagani Zonda or an Ascari KZ1.

Japanese Lacquer And Exquisite Sprinkled Pictures

Before I describe these unique and beautiful works of art, exclusively Japanese, I feel that you need to know more about Lacquer, the extraordinary medium that was used. Only then will you fully appreciate these brilliant creations.

For readers who are unfamiliar with old Japanese Lacquer, I suspect you will be thinking of the typical modern Lacquer trays and bowls that are mass-produced. These items are very decorative, but completely fail to compare with the magnificent earlier hand made works.

From China to Japan

Lacquer is really the sap from a tree known as `Rhus Vernicifera'. The Chinese were the first to discover and use it, at least a century before Christ, when it was used as a paint, and more often as a preservative. It was a very effective preservative, as many pieces still exist from as far back as the Han period 206BC, when Lacquer was very popular and in extensive use.

The earliest known Japanese Lacquer dates back to about the 7th Century, but it was not until the 14th and 15th century that the Japanese Lacquer works became so much more decorative. By then they had refined and created exceptional techniques, far finer and more beautiful than the Chinese lacquer that they had simply originally copied.

The Chinese had used shades of black, brown, yellow, green, and mostly red or cinnabar Lacquer. They mainly favoured deep carving of the Lacquer, to form the decoration, and produced some outstanding work.

They often applied the colours in layers, so that once carved, these colours would be revealed. One particular technique is known as `Guri' Lacquer: the colours mostly red and black were built up in layers, and then a geometric or symmetrical pattern would be carved with a deep `V' shaped cut, so that all these alternating layers would be revealed within the cuts. The Chinese also painted, incised and inlaid Lacquer with iridescent pieces of shell, but these works were treasured by the Japanese often more so, than by the Chinese.

To begin with all these methods were copied, but by about the 15th century the Japanese had become, justifiably, the unrivalled masters of the art!

Lacquer was, quite rightly, highly valued for its lasting qualities and strength. A very high gloss could be achieved, proving impervious to alcohol, acids and hot liquids. It would also have appealed to the Zen Buddhism ideals of `Yin and Yang’, as Lacquer appears to be so delicately beautiful and light in weight. Yet, it is hard, impermeable and enduring.

The preparation

It is a very difficult medium to work with, uncompromising, sticky, and time consuming. It had to be strained to remove any impurities, and gently heated to thicken, and evaporate any moisture content. All the time it had to be kept in a dust free environment, and added to these difficulties, in its liquid form it gives off a poisonous gas! Strangely, it requires a damp humid atmosphere for it to harden.

It had to be applied in very thin layers, otherwise it runs, and if too thick, will not harden at all but will just form a skin. After each layer had hardened, all the time in a dust free area, it was carefully rubbed down before another layer would be added.

An average piece consisted of a minimum of 30 layers, in order that there would not be a trace of the wood base, or on larger pieces the hemp cloth applied in the early layers, to help strengthen the wood. The Lacquer Artist would have taken over, only at this stage, to create the decoration by the addition of yet even more layers.

The number of colours possible, due to chemical reactions with pigments and the composition of Lacquer were limited. So Lacquer artists were still restricted and blue was a very rare colour.

It was the Japanese that developed the idea and the techniques of adding gold and silver to liven up the decoration. Real gold and silver metals were used in the form of foil, flakes, metal particles of various grades, as well as powders. All of these precious metals were brilliantly used to great advantage, particularly in the late 18th and early 19th century.

The sprinkling of gold or silver metal particles had been used before and over a very long period, to brighten up the interiors. Even very early Lacquer works have `Nashiji' inside. This is where fine particles of gold have simply been sprinkled in to the Lacquer. Some were scattered unevenly, producing cloud effects, whilst others varied in the density. However no pictures were formed.

Sprinkled, not painted!

In the 18th century they invented and refined the idea of sprinkled pictures, and these were used to great effect in what are known as `Togadashi' pieces. They are easily identified, as the surface of the Lacquer is always perfectly smooth in Togadashi work.

These designs and amazing pictures were created purely, by very skilfully pouring various grades of fine metal and pigment powders on to the wet Lacquer, so that they would sink in. There was no way of correcting any errors! Extra layers of the background colour, normally black, would be added over the picture. Then by carefully polishing down until the picture reappears, the top edges of the metal particles would be made to glisten from the polish, providing brilliance impossible to achieve any other way. The last very thin coats would be of the purest clear Lacquer, providing the mirror like high gloss finish.

Various shades of black were created, by charcoal mixed with different quantities of silver powder, so that they could even simulate painted brush strokes. These powders were mainly used for black pictures on a gold background, that one would never imagine were created by sprinkling techniques. What is also quite remarkable, is the very fine degree of control in shading that they were able to achieve. This meant that far more sophisticated pictures could be created, than had ever been seen before.

There are three types of sprinkled picture techniques in all and Togadashi, already described, is my favourite! Another is `Hiramakie', which is where quite a thickly sprinkled gold powder is used, and the lacquer is raised just a little above the background. As usual the surface is polished and burnished, before the final clear layers, and has a very rich appearance. Lastly, there is `Takamakie', which is again similar to Hiramakie, only it is in much higher relief. This thickness was achieved by building up and modelling the areas required in relief, with a combination of Lacquer and charcoal, before applying the gold powder layers.

Highlights of pure gold

Many Lacquer artists made use of a combination of these techniques in a piece of work. Just to further enrich these pictures, finely shaped tiny pieces of pure gold, so small that it is hard to imagine how they were handled, are individually applied near the final surface to create highlights. Frequently these are exactly matched shapes, tiny squares or diamond pieces that are all so amazingly very accurately placed.

Togadashi Boxes

One of our favourite examples of this type of work in this collection is a fine Box that appears as two overlapping boxes. One shows the figure of the swordsmith forging the sword `Little Fox', assisted by the Fox Spirit in the guise of a woman; the other has an overall design of a mass of gold and coloured flowers.

Looking closely at the gold centres of the flowers one can see how these consist of a number of very tiny shaped flakes of gold; each flake has been carefully placed by hand.

It also has a marvellous fitted tray just in gold Togadashi of three foxes running in a landscape with a really dream like quality. The border of the tray is decorated in `Gyobu’, which is where each individual flake of gold has also been positioned by hand, rather than sprinkled.

Another wonderful Box that is purely, fine Togadashi, depicts a busy street market scene, and what more can I say, other than it is an outstanding piece of work!

Modern works

A word of warning when buying lacquer, it is important that the condition is both good and original. As there are now some cleverly repaired pieces on the market, expert advice should always be obtained.

Fine Lacquer is made even today, and there are certain living traditional Lacquer artists who are held in very high esteem in Japan. So much so, that some have been designated as `Living National Treasures', and their contemporary hand made Lacquer work is in high demand and extremely expensive.

I have seen an example, at a Lacquer study weekend held at the V & A museum. A remarkable modern box that combined thick clear Perspex with black Lacquer in a geometric design that really was very dramatic. Personally I still prefer the earlier works and for the cost of this modern box a very good collection could be formed!

The Great Unopposed

“My Beat” is Northwestern Wisconsin. I monitor the local government units in an eight county area. Mostly, I am concerned with the actions in the areas of land use, planning, zoning, building, economic development and private property rights.

It is a rural area. How rural is it, you ask? The eight Wisconsin counties of Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Burnett, Sawyer, Washburn, Barron and Rusk encompass 8493 square miles. The total population (2000 census) was 183,382. That works out to 21.60 people per square mile.

The total area of the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island is 5890 square miles. Their total population(2000 census) was 4,453,884. That is 756 people per square mile.

That is how rural we are. Forty percent larger than the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined. With four percent of the population of that area. That's rural.

Would you like some more statistics from “My Beat?”

Nomination Papers were due a couple of weeks ago. Local elections. A couple hundred or so. All County Board of Supervisors, in all eight counties. Numerous Mayors and City Council Seats. There are 218 seats up in all, in this area. (Not counting School Board and Town races. I have no idea how many more hundred of those there are.)

How many of them do you suppose are unopposed? Of the 218 seats, there are 159 of those seats where there is no opposition. The candidate is running unopposed. That is 73% of the seats up for election. Unopposed!

Only 59 seats have competition, for a measly 27%.

Why? Why, so many unopposed races?

* It's not the citizens think their local officials are doing a good job. That's for sure. There is enough complaining going on. On a variety of issues. At Coffee Clubs, neighbors talking, whatever. Complaints can always be heard. So, it's not citizen contentment that drives this problem.

* We have too many races and positions to fill. We don't have enough people per square mile who are really interested in serving on these boards. Let's have larger governmental units and smaller governing boards. Thus, fewer candidates to elect. Let's start some serious consolidation out there!

However, talking with my counterparts across the country, I learn this is not a “rural” problem. High density areas have just as much a problem getting opposition as rural areas do. The number of people in a district is irrelevant. So, that's not the problem.

* Our part time elected officials work for peanuts. They are grossly underpaid for their time and responsibility. But, the same problem of unopposed local officials is also rampant in large population centers, with full time positions. So, it's not money either?

We have a national problem, but without being able to identify just exactly why, it is very difficult to come up with solutions.

But, we do have a problem. Who can defend a system that produces 73% of races being decided, because the name listed on the ballot was better than “nobody.”

How do we start solve a problem, when we can't even get to the root cause of it?

I installed and cemented in next to my pond a 4 x 4 wooden post with an outdoor electrical box which allowed me to plug-in all of my pond equipment, reducing the hazardous task of having to run outdoor extension cords above ground. The best location for your pond would be a place that is clean and free from any debris or waste material that would likely enter the pond and harming or even killing your fish. Choosing a shady area will help moderate water temperatures and provide some cover for your fish. You can design your pond using a pre-formed unit, cement, or rubber lining, and filtration system of you âre choosing.


Speaking of fish, you may want to add some to your backyard pond and if so, I would suggest that you check with your local pet store in your area to see what types of fish are suitable for your pond, and the caring and maintenance of same. In my case I discovered that a mix of Koi and Gold fish thrived very well in my pond, and soon became very friendly pets. There are a wide variety of colors and types in which you can select. Be aware though....the addition of any fish to your pond can and most likely will attract certain types of predators.

There is nothing worse than caring for and raising your prized Koi and Gold fish only to lose them to a predator like the famous “Blue Heron” whom in my neck of the woods thrives on feeding on outdoor pond fish. It’s a good idea to have fish that are a little less colourful and camouflaged, which will increase their survival rate, however there is no guarantee... so what I did was purchase a net from my local pet supply store and whenever I was away for any length of time, I covered my pond with the netting and protected my prized fish from predators. Believe it or not, I even once had a “Cat” reach into the pond for a fish....falling in and having a heck of a time getting back out. Funny thing is I never ever saw that cat back in my little Oasis again.

A few things you should take note of here when it comes to adding fish to your pond. Generally and within reason, Koi and Gold fish will grow in size to that of their environment. This simply means that the larger your pond, the larger they will grow depending again on the number of fish you plan on raising. My pond was approximately 6’ wide X 12’ long, and 36” deep and held approximately 1200 gallons of water. During the winter months with this depth and the fact that I kept my pond pump circulating under water, I prevented my pond from freezing over. I also installed a small pond heater for these cold months, and my fish survived the winter just fine. I had a total of six fish with each ranging in size from 10” to 15” in length.

Menurut Ahli Forensik Digital Ruby Alamsyah, hal ini untuk mencegah pembobolan rekening nasbah dengan menggunakan alat skimmer dan kamera mikro di ATM. Skimmer adalah alat untuk mencuri nomor PIN yang diletakan di mulut ATM.

Ruby Alamsyah seorang ahli forensik IT. Dia mengungkapkan sebenarnya sudah ada antiskimmer tapi belum digunakan di semua ATM. Masyarat juga banyak yang tidak tahu keberadaan antiskimmer ini karena minim sosialisasi. "Karena ada kasus, maka saat ini waktu yang pas bagi pihak bank untuk sosialisasi sebagai upaya preventif," saran paparnya saat berbincang dengan okezone via telepon, Kamis (21/1/2010).

Mengenai usul kepolisian untuk mengganti PIN dengan sidik jari, Ruby mengatakan boleh-boleh saja usul tersebut. Namun semuanya terpulang pada kebijakan bank masing-masing.

Begitu juga dengan alternatif perubahan sistem magnetik dalam ATM yang selama ini digunakan dengan chip karena lebih aman juga masih perlu dipertimbangkan. Pasalnya, harus mengganti semua ATM yang biayanya mahal.

Dia menyatakan modus pembobolan rekening nasabah bukan dilakukan oleh hacker. Hal ini senada dengan tanggapan Komunitas White Hacker Yogyafree yang menyatakan pembobolan tersebut tidak dilakukan mengunakan teknik hacking atupun teknik serangan virus.

Pembobolan uang nasabah di sejumlah bank di Bali adalah menggunakan teknik skimmer yakni memakai alat pencuri nomor PIN dan perekam dengan kamera mikro. "Saya pastikan pembobolan rekening nasabah bukan oleh hacker, tapi menggunakan ATM skimmer," ujarnya.

Analisa ini diperoleh dari pendalaman kasus yang terjadi di Jakarta dan tersangkanya berhasil ditangkap. "Modus dan alat yang digunakan sama, yaitu skimmer dan kamera di ATM," ujar dia.

Menurut Ruby, kasus pembobolan perbankan di Indonesia yang melibatkan hacker terbilang jarang terjadi. "Dulu sempat terjadi saat launching pertama klik BCA, karena ada celah disusupi hacker. Tapi sekarang sudah aman," ungkap dia

CCTV Pembobol ATM yang telah menjadi santapan publik itu, memberikan sedikt harapan pada kita semua, bahwa pihak kepolisian akan segera dapat menangkap para penjahat Pembobol ATM yang telah meresahkan masyarakat kita semua. dengan adanya CCTV tersebut, kejahatan ini dapat segera diungkap dalam waktu yang tidak terlalu lama lagi.

Pihak bank tidak dapat membedakan pengambilan dana dari ATM oleh nasabah atau bukan. Bukti satu-satunya adalah rekaman CCTV . Bagaimana caranya meminta ganti kalau menggalami pembobolan?

Menurut Director Compliance & Human Capital Bank Mandiri, Bambang Setiawan, untuk Bank Mandiri nasabah dipersilahkan telepon ke call center di 14.000 untuk melaporkan rekeningnya berkurang. "Nasabah cukup membawa kartu ATM dan buku tabungan ke cabang terdekat," katanya kepada kepada wartawan kami, Kamis (21/1).

Pihak bank akan memeriksa rekening tersebut. Kalau ternyata terjadi pengembilan dana tetapi tidak diakui nasabah maka bank akan membuktikan dengan rekaman CCTV. Sebab dari sisi bank tidak ada bedanya yang mengambil dana dilakukan nasabah atau pembobol. "Tetapi kami memiliki bukti rekaman CCTV di ATM. Untuk diakurkan pada jam yang sama," jelasnya.

Bambang memeberikan ilustrasi, misalnya seorang nasabah merasa ATM-nya dibobol pada pukul 13.00 pihak bank akan mencocokkan dengan rekaman CCTV di ATM di mana terjadi penarikan. Kalau dari rekaman ternyata orangya beda dengan nasabah yang melapor maka telah terjadi pembobolan.

Sedangkan untuk nasabah BNI, menurut Sekretaris Perusahaan BNI Intan Adams Katoppo BNI akan melakukan identifikasi dan verifikasi berdasarkan adanya laporan berkurangnya saldo beberapa nasabah perbankan akibat transaksi mencurigakan. Jika laporan tersebut ternyata terbukti ada hal yang disebabkan oleh faktor di luar kelalaian nasabah, BNI akan mengganti dana nasabahnya yang menjadi korban dalam waktu 2 x 24 jam setelah adanya hasil verifikasi. "Bagi nasabah yang merasa mengalami hal tersebut, dapat melaporkan ke cabang BNI terdekat atau call-center BNI 021-57899999," sarannya.

Sedangkan di BCA menurut Wakil Presdir BCA, Jahja Setiatmadja menjelaskan prosedurnya menghubungi Halo BCA dengan nomor 500888 atau (021)500888 dari telepon genggam.

Setelah itu langkah berikutnya, nasabah mendatangi kantor cabang tempat membuka rekening BCA. Pelaporan dilakukan dengan menyertakan buku rekening, kartu ATM dan kartu indentitas. Pelacakan aliran dana dilakukan dari print out buku rekening tersebut. "Dalam waktu 1 X 24 jam kita kembalikan dananya," katanya.

The Alleged Batman VS Superman Film

For several years now, a batman vs superman film has been rumored, but has never come to fruition. Dating back to 2001, the film came to be after a JJ Abrams script rebooting the superman franchise was shelved. Abrams' film had nothing to do with batman vs superman, but rather an origin story for the man of steel. Andrew Kevin Walker, however, pitched the idea of a batman vs superman film and Abrams' idea was shelved.

In 2002, Akiva Goldsman wrote a draft for the potential batman vs superman film that depicted a Bruce Wayne retired from being batman and dealing with the deaths of Dick Grayson, Alfred Pennyworth and Commissioner Gordon. Clark Kent had divorced Lois Lane and was Bruce's best man at his wedding to a woman named Elizabeth Miller, who was tragically killed by the Joker on their honeymoon. This led to Bruce Wayne putting on the cowl and cape once more, and thus setting the stage for the batman vs superman film.

Matt Damon was one of the choices for either role in this projected batman vs superman film. Director Wolfgang Peterson wanted someone who could really act, citing Tobey Maguire from the Spider-Man films as reference. Other actors considered included Johnny Depp, James Franco, Colin Farrell, Paul Walker and Jude Law. The studio approached Christian Bale to take on the role of batman in both this film and batman: year one, which he ultimately chose and was renamed to batman begins, and Josh Hartnett for Superman.

The batman vs superman film was supposed to begin filming in 2003 with a summer 2004 release date. The film was to serve as a reboot for both popular, but all but dead franchises. However, Peterson left the project to direct Troy, and instead of finding another director, the studio shelved the film and went ahead with batman begins, and then superman returns, one of which went on to critical acclaim, the other being a bitter disappointment.

In the Will Smith driven film I Am Legend, there was a billboard with both the batman and superman symbols on it, which led many people to believe that the long rumored batman vs superman film was coming down the pike. But as it turns out, it was an in-joke by Goldsman, who also wrote the script for I Am Legend. So as it stands now, the batman vs superman film is not going to happen, or at least not anytime soon, much to the chagrin of fans long awaiting the groundbreaking film.

Gempa Haiti Tewaskan 16 Staf PBB

Gempa Haiti, PBB, Rabu (13/1) mengatakan, sedikitnya 16 anggota misi perdamaiannya di Haiti tewas, akibat tertimpa bangunan markas besar dan bangunan lainnya yang runtuh menyusul gempa bumi 7,0 SR mengguncang negara tersebut, Selasa (12/1). Diperkirakan korban tewas akan bertambah.

Sekjen PBB Ban Ki-moon mengatakan 11 warga Brasil, tiga Jordania, satu Argentina, dan satu warga Kanada tewas. Susana Malcorra, seorang pejabat senior penjaga perdamaian PBB, menyebutkan pada awalnya jumlah mereka yang terluka 56 orang.

Kepala penjaga perdamaian PBB Alain Le Roy menyatakan korban tewas PBB itu diperkirakan akan bertambah dengan cepat ketika para pekerja pertolongan melakukan pencarian dii reruntuhan markas lima lantai itu dan bangunan lainnya. "Jumlah korban tewas dan cedera itu akan sangat tinggi," ujarnya pada wartawan.

Le Roy dan Malcorra menjelaskan sekitar 150 anggota staf PBB masih hilang, di antara mereka kepala misi penjaga perdamaian PBB di Haiti (MINUSTAH), Hedi Annabi, dan wakilnya.

Presiden Haiti Rene Preval menyatakan bahwa Annabi, seorang warga Tunisia yang diperkirakan berusia 65 tahun, telah dipastikan tewas, tapi para pejabat PBB menyampaikan keraguan pada ucapannya itu.

"Kami menyadari laporan berita yang dikaitkan dengan Presiden Preval bahwa Annabi dipastikan telah tewas itu," kata jurubicara penjaga perdamaian PBB Nicholas Birnback.

"Kami telah berhubungan dengan misi PBB di Haiti ... dan dengan misi tetap Haiti untuk PBB, dan tak ada yang bisa mengkonfirmasi informasi itu," jelasnya, dan menambahkan bahwa badan dunia itu telah meminta klarifikasi mengenai pernyataan Preval tersebut.

Juru bicara PBB Martin Nesirky mengatakan kerusakan negara itu sangat luas dan "puluhan, jika tidak ratusan ribu rumah" rusak akibat gempa, yang melanda Selasa sore.

Misi PBB itu bermarkas besar di bekas Hotel Christopher di Ibu Kota port-au-Prince, tempat staf administrasi bekerja. Sebagian besar dari 9.000 tentara dan polisi MINUSTAH tinggal di tempat lainnya.

How do I date beautiful women, even celebrities?

Are you a guy who’s interested not only in dating beautiful women, even celebrities, but would like to get beautiful women to approach YOU first? Can it really be done? The answer is an unqualified “yes” IF you know what to say and do, and what to avoid saying and doing.

Most guys have no clue about the day to day life of stunningly beautiful women. They have no idea how many times a DAY these beautiful women are approached by guys whose obvious interest is to “sex them up.” And for celebrities, it’s even worse. Day in, and day out they hear the same thing: “oh you’re such beautiful women… do you have boyfriends… can I take you out…” and on and on and on. Beautiful women simply become numb to guys asking them these questions, and tune them out.

Now, that’s not to say these beautiful women don’t want to meet men… because they do. Many of them desperately. But beautiful women like a guy who’ll say something different to them, something unusual, something that will create attraction in them. And most of all beautiful women crave a man who “defines authority” for them, one who is not intimidated by their looks (or fame). Let me give you an example.

I’m in the business of teaching other guys how to get desirable, beautiful women to approach them first for a date, no matter their looks, age or income (see www.womenapproachyou.com). And while I rarely take clients, occasionally I’ll make a mistake and let someone talk me into helping them.

A few weeks ago I was working with a guy who was desperately in need of help. Like I always do, I asked him, “What specifically do you want in beautiful women? What don’t you want? And most importantly, what’s your ideal experience with a woman?” Most of guys, of course, have no specific answers to these questions—and if you don’t know what you’re looking for, it’s extremely difficult to achieve any measure of success—whether with beautiful women or in any area of your life.

This guy, amazingly enough, didn’t pause with his answer: “I’d like to sex Paris Hilton—and other beautiful women” he leered. I was a bit taken aback—apparently I don’t speak the “new lingo.” “Sex Paris Hilton,” I said. “What the heck does that mean, sex Paris Hilton?”

“It means I’d like to get with her you know, sex her up, sex Paris Hilton—or a woman like her.” Ah-ha. “So your goal is to share a few adventures with celebrities, or beautiful women who look like celebrities?” He nodded eagerly—“I’ll settle for a look-alike,” he said, “but what do I say, what do I do to get beautiful women to even speak to me?”

Here’s what I told him in regards to beautiful women: first off, get all thoughts of lust out of your head. If you want to spend time with beautiful women, you need to get to know them as people first.

Here’s what to do: when you see a beautiful woman (or beautiful women) you want to approach, look her in the eye, and smile slightly, using your “naughty little boy smile.” Your intent is to make her smile back at you, while you continue to hold her gaze, and smile wider and “naughtier.” Look for something unusual about her that few other guys would notice, and bring it to her attention. For example:

“You look like a well-conditioned athlete… what are you training for?”

“Hmmm, that’s a most unusual tattoo… what made you decide to get that particular one?”

“That’s a very professional looking business suit… what’s the occasion for dressing so professionally?”

“You have a great energy, much like my friends in the martial arts… what kind of physical training do you do to have such a great energy… or is it just natural?”

Or if all else fails, “What are smiling about… remembering something that makes you grin?”

The key is to notice something about her environment, and ask her an open ended question letting her know you’re sincerely curious about her. Don’t tell her, “you’re a beautiful woman and I like beautiful women.” She’s heard that. You want to give her an opportunity to talk about herself, something few guys ever do. They’re trying to impress her, instead of shutting up, listening and letting her impress herself about you.

By doing this, you let her know you’re interested in her as a person (as opposed to a sweaty piece of meat), that you appreciate her beauty (and beautiful women) but you’re not intimidated or especially impressed by it, and that you need to hear more before you let her into your life. When you do this, you will stand out from the crowd that asks her the same questions over and over and over—and she’ll be more than happy to pick YOU up!
