Pihak Desa Adat Kuta selama ini dengan mudah memberi izin pembuatan film yang mengambil lokasi di Pantai Kuta.

"Kami tidak boleh berlaku tidak adil. Jika mohon rekomendasi, saya kasih," ujar Bendesa Adat atau Kepala Desa Adat Kuta, Gusti Ketut Sudira, saat memberi keterangan kepada wartawan di kantor Satgas Pantai Kuta. "Saya lupa apakah Amit Virmani (sutradara Cowboys in Paradise) pernah minta izin ke desa karena banyak sekali yang meminta izin buat film di sini," tambah Ketut Sudira.

"Dengan adanya kasus ini, kami akan lebih teliti lagi sebelum memberi izin. Kami akan minta detail film tersebut," kata Sudira. Namun, Sudira mengaku kesulitan jika memang film tersebut dibuat secara candid dan para pemeran atau narasumber di dalamnya tidak tahu isi film tersebut.

Untuk mengantisipasi kejadian ini terulang kembali, pihak Desa Adat Kuta akan memberi pengarahan kepada semua pedagang dan warga yang sehari-harinya berada di Kuta untuk lebih berhati-hati jika ada orang yang mengaku-aku membuat film dan ingin mengambil gambar mereka.

Sedangkan Nokia E5 ditujukkan untuk kalangan bisnis yang berbasis Symbian. Nokia menyebutkan bahwa fitur bisnis seperti Mail for Exchange, Lotus Notes Traveller telah dipadukan dengan akses ke situs-situs hiburan di E5.

Harga ponsel ini diperkirakan 180 Euro. Kita lihat saja kehadiran ponsel-ponsel baru, mudah-mudahan dalam waktu dekat dan harga tak naik Anda dapat memiliki satu dari tiga ponsel yang ditawarkan Nokia itu.

Cuando Me Enamoro - Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono mengatakan Islam, demokrasi, dan modernisasi bisa tumbuh bersama di dalam negeri, dan tidak menunjukkan konflik satu dengan lainnya. Presiden Yudhoyono mengatakan partai politik Islam yang banyak bermunculan di Indonesia juga sangat mendukung pada penerapan demokrasi di dalam negeri, dan menyadari adanya kewajiban sosial dengan sesama.

Untuk menciptakan keselarasan demoktrasi, SBY juga menekankan di samping terciptanya kebebasan beragama, juga menciptakan keselarasan dari bangsa yang terdiri dari multietnis dan multi partai, serta kesetaraan gender.

Nokia Handphone

Spartacus Season 3 - 3 and T-Mobile have signed a deal with manufacturer Nokia Siemens Networks to help improve the reach of 3G mobile broadband services. Through their Mobile-Broadband-Network (MBNL) joint venture, the two broadband providers remain on course to complete network upgrade work by the end of 2010.

The £400 million deal with Nokia will now cater for the provision of 3G radio network infrastructure, mobile network planning, implementation, optimisation and maintenance.

Graham Baxter, Chief Technology Officer at 3, said partnering with Nokia would help MBNL deliver on its objective of "creating Europe's largest HSDPA network in record timescales, to quickly enable the best customer experience".

Emin Gurdenli, Technical Director at T-Mobile, commented: "As high-speed mobile broadband becomes increasingly adopted for fast, simple internet access wherever you are, network performance becomes an increasingly important competitive differentiator."

Spartacus Season 3 - In a late filing of its 2009 annual report, troubled Tamalpais Bancorp, the parent company of San Rafael-based Tamalpais Bank, reported this week that it has failed to meet deadlines to increase capital imposed by federal regulators and warned that a regulatory takeover of the bank is a possibility.

"There can be no assurance that we will be able to arrange for sufficient liquidity or to raise additional capital in time to satisfy regulatory requirements and meet our obligations as they come due," the annual report stated.

The report goes on to say that regulators may take further action "including assumption of control of Tamalpais Bank, to protect the interests of depositors insured by the FDIC."

The bank is under intense pressure from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to improve its capitalization. On Feb. 19, the FDIC told the bank to either improve its capitalization by issuing new stock or find an institution that will buy the bank. Under this "prompt corrective action directive," the bank had until March 21 to comply with the order.

A spokesman for the bank could not be reached for comment Friday.

The bank announced in February that it lost $37.6 million, or $9.83 per share, in fiscal 2009, compared with a profit of $4.8 million, or $1.26 per share, in 2008. But the bank told the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 1 that it had been unable to file its 2009 annual report due to "delays in resolving certain disclosures." The bank filed the annual.

The annual report discloses that the bank's independent registered public accountants expressed substantial doubt about the bank's ability to continue as a going concern in its audit report for fiscal 2009.

"If we cannot continue as a going concern, our shareholders will lose some or all of their investment in the company," the report noted.

On March 12, the NASDAQ stock market notified the bank it faced the possible delisting of its stock because it had closed below $1 per share for 30 consecutive days. On Friday, the stock closed at 49 cents a share, down a cent. As of Dec. 31, Tamalpais Bank had 72 full-time employees.

The annual report disclosed that Tamalpais Bank has been in default on $5.7 million worth of loans to Pacific Coast Bankers Bank since Sept. 3. The report stated that the bank has the option to foreclose on the collateral securing the loans, which includes the bank's stock. The annual report also disclosed that the bank is in "technical default" to the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, to which it owes $119 million.

The annual report stated that the bank's nonperforming assets totaled $46.9 million at the end of 2009, up from $17.1 million at the end of 2008.

According to the annual report, "Small business owners and investors have seen reduced revenues due to declining economic activity, and rising unemployment has caused some borrowers to become delinquent on loan payments. Additionally, the value of land, construction and commercial real estate loans have been severely impacted by the decline in occupancy rates, rental lease rates and property values."

Susno Builds Mosque

Cuando Me Enamoro - Former National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji has built a mosque in his hometown in South Dempo district in Pagaralam regency, South Sumatra. The mosque is built on a 2,500-square-meter plot and sits about a kilometer from Susno's family home, Antara news agency reported.

The building's design, which resembles Jakarta's Istiqlal Mosque, is surrounded by fish ponds and paddies. It has five domes and is expected to accommodate hundreds of worshippers.

"He planned it a long time ago. The old mosque was too small and could not accommodate a bigger congregation," Maldi Duadji, Susno's brother, said Sunday.

He said the mosque would be open for public.

Zuma calls for calm

"We will decide upon the action we are going to take to avenge Mr Terre’blanche’s death."

Concerns over increasing racial polarisation have been thrown into the open by a row over the singing of an apartheid-era song with the lyrics "Kill the Boer" by the youth leader of the ruling African National Congress.

The ANC has defended the song as no more than a way to remember a history of oppression, but it has worried minority groups and particularly white farmers, some 3,000 of whom have been killed since the end of apartheid.

Terre’blanche’s party did not hesitate to link the murder to the song.

He had always described himself as a Boer.

"That's what this is all about," Visagie said.

Zuma’s spokesman Vincent Magwenya said, however, there was no evidence at this stage linking the killing to the song sung by firebrand ANC youth wing leader Julius Malema.

Terre’blanche had lived in relative obscurity since his release from prison in 2004 after serving a sentence for beating a black man nearly to death.

The party — whose flag resembles a Nazi swastika — was revived two years ago and he had begun efforts to try to build a united front among white far-right parties to fight for a white homeland, but had gained little traction.

Terre’blanche was a powerful orator in his Afrikaans language and was a distinctive figure, heavily built, with a thick grey beard and dressed in khaki.

He often attended rallies on horseback during his fight to stop majority rule.

Police said the suspected killers were aged 16 and 21. Both had worked for Terre’blanche.

"They apparently attacked the leader because they were not paid for work," said spokesperson Adele Myburg, giving no details of how the killing was carried out. — Reuters.

Ridho mengaku telah berlatih selama bertahun-tahun, tapi baru menguasai saat ini. Dia pun terkagum-kagum dengan Cathy.

“Kita latihan berdua ini kan karena profesional saja. Cathy orangnya baik, enaklah untuk mengobrol. Secara profesional kita saling memperhatikan, kita saling mendukung, dan memberi pendapat,” papar pelantun 'Menunggumu'.

Alih-alih memuji Cathy karena kekagumannya pada sosok perempuan smart ini, Ridho terjebak dengan pertanyaan "calon teman dekat". Dia pun berdalih belum memikirkan hal itu.

“Aku masih memikirkan karir,umur aku juga masih muda, mau jadi mapan dulu lah. Mau menyenangkan orangtua dulu, mau beli rumah dulu,” pungkasnya.
